Dowshu ABBT (Advanced Building Block Technology)
Dowshu ABBT (Advanced Building Block Technology) takes the confusion out of clients concern when it comes to a new camera installation or when updating an existing system. There are so many different CCTV camera options available today that it has all become very confusing for both installer and client. There are standard analogue cameras which have served the test of time, but lack the resolution of more modern camera systems. Then there is the IP CCTV Camera revolution which started over a decade ago, initially providing similar resolutions to standard analogue cameras before the introduction of HD Mega Pixel Cameras. In the last 5 years a new breed of camera has been introduced, its digital data similar to IP cameras but unlike IP cameras it delivers full uncompressed data to the monitor and DVR. This camera format is known as HD-SDI and presently delivers up to 2.4 mega pixel or up to five times the resolution of standard analogue cameras.
Over the last 2 years we have seen some major advances in analogue cameras, first with the introduction of Analogue 960H, which delivers up to 25% more resolution than standard analogue cameras. More recently we have seen the introduction of analogue mega pixel (up to 2 mega pixels on some systems) under 3 different formats (with possibly more to come).
HD-CVI, HD-TVI & AHD.
Dowshu playback delivers HD quality
While all of these new developments are rather confusing for both the installer and the client it has heralded major advancements in an industry that remained stagnant for many years.
The worrying aspect of all of these new developments is the lack of an independent standards body. While both the IP and HD-SDI developers and manufacturers have independent standards associations that define certain specifications, the three newer entrants have no such body or association to implement Standards but hopefully this will change in time.
Dowshu ABBT has been developed to cater for new advancements as they happen.
There is no doubting that some of the new technologies will fail or be amalgamated. When this happens some unsuspecting customers will be out of pocket and having to change to another camera format once cameras from the defunct system go faulty.
Installers and Clients who do not implement A Tri-Brid Technology Solution such as the Dowshu ABBT 10000, will be further out of pocket and having to replace DVR as well as cameras if a camera format system becomes obsolete.
